How it works

1

Pick your field

Choose medicine, CS/math, science/engineering, law, humanities, or auto-detect. The field decides what gets surfaced: thresholds, notation, workflows, arguments, or cases.

2

Bring your lecture and your own notes

Upload the slides plus the notes you already wrote, paste text, or add board photos. CruxPack reads the structure, source-page figures, equations, tables, definitions, and slide flow so the cards reflect your material.

3

Get your pack

Atomic, source-linked flashcards and practice land in one pass — ready for active-recall study right on the site. Want clean structured notes and a cheat sheet too? One click.

Field-tuned & source-grounded

Cards that hold up at exam time

A med deck and an algorithms lecture should not become the same generic flashcards. Pick a field and the cards emphasize the patterns your exams punish, and every card traces back to the slide it came from — so drilling the deck is drilling the lecture.

  • Every card traces to a page

Cards and cheat-sheet boxes link to the slide they came from, so you can verify a claim against the source.

  • Tuned for your field

Med uses illness scripts; CS and math use worked traces; law uses IRAC. The structure matches how your subject is tested.

  • One upload, the whole pack

Atomic flashcards, optional structured notes, practice problems, and a printable cheat sheet — built in one pass.

Or jump straight to your subject

Not sure? Auto-detect reads the source and picks the best fit — and you can switch fields after generation.

Frequently asked questions

What can I upload?

Lecture PDFs and PowerPoint (PPTX) files, pasted text, and your own notes or images. CruxPack reads the structure, figures, equations, and tables before it writes anything.

Is it actually grounded in my source?

Yes. Packs are planned, written, then audited against the file for coverage and grounding. Notes carry source-page citations, and the figures and pages from your file sit right beside the explanations that cite them — so you can check any claim against the original in one tap.

Do I have to generate notes?

No — notes are optional and off by default. You can generate flashcards alone if you prefer. Writing your own notes is part of how you learn (the generation effect: producing the explanation yourself is what makes it stick), so we leave that choice to you rather than forcing AI notes on every upload.

What do I get in a pack?

Field-tuned, clean structured notes (with an optional Cornell view), atomic flashcards built for active recall, practice problems with worked answers, source figures, and a dense printable cheat sheet — all from one upload.

Can I use my own notes or photos too?

Yes. Add your own notes, screenshots, or photos of the board alongside the lecture, and they are folded into the same source-grounded pack.

Where can I take the pack to study?

Export to Anki, Quizlet, PDF, Word, LaTeX, or NotebookLM, so you can review in whatever tool you already use.

Is it free?

Yes — sign in free with no credit card and get 3 free packs a month on the free plan, plus 3 free regenerations to perfect them. (Creating a pack needs an account so we can save it to your library.) It is an early product built for students and med students memorizing dense material, so expect it to keep improving.
